SwirlPhoenix members
SwirlPhoenix — previously known as SwirlAZ — launched in 2003. Recognizing the unique needs of the city’s mixed community, the founders created a safe space for members to explore the mixed race experience through cultural, educational and social activities. The Swirl contingent in Phoenix lives in a dynamic city in a state that shares a border with Mexico, has a complex history with race relations issues, and has a number of transplants from various regions of the United States and abroad. SwirlPhoenix’s activities are equally diverse, ranging from discussions over coffee, engaging lectures and conversations, and fun ‘n’ games gatherings.
